WEEKEND AD ALTARE DEI!
Weekend AAD is for scouts registered in the BSA. program. Scouts must be 13 years old by November 1, 2018. Cost is only $40.00 which includes registration for Faith-Con weekend!
MUST Register by Friday, January 25, 2018 at 9am. Please register by contacting Pam Dixon at 760.712.2183.

Here is the Weekend AAD schedule! - Must attend all events listed.
****Scouts must commit to attending all sessions and staying the entire time scheduled to complete the program and earn the emblem. No exceptions.
All Prerequisites must be completed before our first meeting on January 26. 2019.
Follow the directions completely for each requirement.
1. Using a pen, complete only the "Application to Begin working on the Ad Altare Dei Emblem" that can be found in the front of your AAD workbook Do not remove application from workbook. Make sure you have the following signatures: Yours, Parent, Scoutmaster and Pastor before our first meeting. Counselor's will sign workbook at our first meeting.
2. Chapter 1
C:1 a, b, c
Two of the main sources for faith knowledge that you are exposed to are the Scripture readings and homilies at Sunday worship or Mass. Share with your family an important lesson you learned from the readings and homily and how you plan to put this into practice. Do this each Sunday over a period of three weeks. Fill out the form with your answers.
Ask your parents when and where you were baptized. Record the date, church, and community in your workbook. Have your parents tell you about that day.
Develop a list of your gifts and talents that can be used to help others. From your list, develop and carry out a service project that uses your particular gifts to serve others.
Write a prayer that you could share with a sick person. Share this prayer with a sick person.
Over a period of one month, help an elderly, sick, or injured person(s) in some of the following ways escorting them to church, assist with home repairs, yard work, errands, or visiting a nursing/retirement home (more ideas in workbook)
A Priest and Deacon are ordained to serve a parish family. Many people assist them in service to the parish. Assist in one of the ministry projects in your parish
How is what you have done in C-2A similar to the Scout Slogan, Oath, and Law? Write a short paper or a long paragraph about this and attached it to the book.
