About the Emblem
The purpose of the Ad Altare Dei (to the altar of God) program is to help Catholic Youth of the Roman Rite develop a fully Christian way of life in their faith community. The program is organized in chapters based on the seven Sacraments. The seven Sacraments are a primary means toward spiritual growth.

Program Objectives
  • The most important aspect of the program is that the Scout grows in his spiritual experience of his relationship to God and the church.

Eligibility
  • Scout must be registered in a Scouts BSA troop or crew and have been active in their scouting unit for at least 6 months.
  • Family must be registered with a Catholic Parish located in the Diocese of San Diego.
  • Scout must be an active Catholic.
  • Scout must be at least 14 years old and in the 8th grade and must be completed before the Scout is 18 years old.

NOTE
  • This is not a family program. Scout must register to attend one of our AAD Retreats.
